Accountant

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide support for Project Managers in developing the project cost and revenue budgets and preparing the necessary documentation for order entry and project creation
• Work with the Project Managers to create project cost forecasts
• Analyze costs of  projects and  products to identify trends and recommend profitability improvements
• Perform monthly closing activities, including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries
• Analyze the cash position of projects to ensure the projects are in a cash positive or cash neutral position
• Assist in preparing management reports and ad hoc analysis
• Analyze gross margin results, correct anomalies,  identify trends, and communicate findings
• Play a key role in the improvement of financial processes, reporting, and enhanced use of financial systems

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from a four year accredited school with a concentration in Accounting, CPA candidate preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience in the engineering and/or manufacturing industry
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and financial modeling skills
• Strong attention to details and accuracy
• Sound organizational and time management skills
• Persuasive written, verbal, and inter-personal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a financial environment
• Strong computer skills: Excel, Word & Oracle Projects.

Relevant Experience Required: An understanding of cost and profitability management in an engineering and manufacturing environment.
