JOB DUTIES
- Evaluate new acquisition and investment opportunities through detailed financial analysis, industry research, and business assessment
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, including operating forecasts, valuation analyses, leveraged buyout models, and return scenarios
- Lead financial due diligence efforts and coordinate third-party diligence providers, including accounting, legal, tax, quality of earnings, and operational consultants
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentation materials, and recommendations for senior management and investment committee review
- Analyze financial statements, operating performance metrics, market trends, and competitive positioning of prospective investment opportunities.
- Evaluate reimbursement frameworks, regulatory requirements, and other healthcare-specific business considerations.
- Support transaction execution activities, including negotiations, financing processes, lender diligence, and closing coordination
- Work directly with business owners, management teams, investment bankers, lenders, and external advisors throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Assist with sourcing and evaluating add-on acquisition opportunities across existing portfolio companies
- Monitor portfolio company performance and assist management teams with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives following acquisition
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic decision-making and capital allocation initiatives
- Develop KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory services, corporate development, or a related finance role
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities with advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience evaluating acquisitions, mergers, recapitalizations, or other complex corporate transactions
- Ability to quickly assess businesses, identify key value drivers, and evaluate investment risks and opportunities
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and business operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present investment recommendations to senior executives and investors
- Strong business sense and commercial judgment beyond pure financial analysis
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and entrepreneurial with strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
