Behavioral Health Consultant

Hansen Search Group is actively looking for a Behavioral Health Consultant that will focus on providing individual and group counseling, comprehensive assessments, and crisis interventions for patients with multiple chronic medical conditions, as well as providing advice and support to the multidisciplinary team about behavioral health perspectives, to assist in improving patient care.  

Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, and/or Psy.D. / Ph.D. in clinical psychology
• Licensure as Clinical Social Worker, and/or Licensed Psychologist, in the state
• 3 years experience with patients who have multiple chronic medical conditions, and acute/chronic behavioral health needs
• Knowledge of managed care and insurance processes is preferred.
• Experience with the management of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial populations.
• Experience with EMR and efficiency in completing EMR notes within 48 hours

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with an interdisciplinary team, help develop a new model of integrated health care, serving patients who have been disconnected from routine primary care. 
• With team members, make home visits and providing in-home individual therapy services.
• Provide comprehensive assessments, planning, crisis intervention, and supportive counseling.
• Consult with medical team to provide behavioral health insights into addressing patient medical issues.
• Provide group therapy in the office setting.
• Complete documentation of patient care services in electronic health records.
